    The Community Services Department is inviting enthusiastic teens in grades 9-11 to join the Summer Volunteen Program! This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community, gain valuable skills, and make new friends. Volunteens will assist with a variety of exciting programs, including mobile recreation, special events, summer day camp, aquatics, and youth sports.

     

    Eligibility Requirements

    To qualify for the program, applicants must:

    • Be in grades 9-11 as of fall 2025
    • Reside in Chino Hills or attend a Chino Hills school
    • Be available to volunteer a minimum of 10 to 25 hours per week starting Monday, June 2
    • Be available to participate in at least 6 of the 9 weeks of the program
    • Note: Only the first 64 applications will be reviewed, and up to 47 teens will be accepted into the program.

     

    Key Dates 

    • Applications Available: Monday, March 31, 2025
    • Application Deadline: Monday, April 28, 2025 (or until 64 applications are received)

     

    Interviews:

    • Tuesday, May 6, 2025 (after school)
    • Wednesday, May 7, 2025 (after school)

     

    • Mandatory Orientation and CPR/First Aid Training: Friday, May 30, 2025
    • Program Duration: Monday, June 2, 2025 - Friday, August 1, 2025

     

    Application Process

    • Complete the application (typed submissions only).
    • Submit your application in person to the Chino Hills Community Center at: 14250 Peyton Drive
    • Upon submission, schedule your interview date and time.

    Interviews 

    After submitting your application, applicants will be invited to participate in an interview to complete the selection process. Interviews will be conducted after school on Tuesday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

     

    Mandatory Orientation 

    All accepted Volunteens must attend the orientation and CPR/First Aid Training on Friday, May 30, 2025
